I am a multiple award-winning cameraman and director, with over 20 years behind the lens. My interest in cultural, social, and environmental subjects has resulted in work with clients across the spectrum of film and television production, and has spanned over 60 countries, on all seven continents. A graduate of NYU film school, I’ve been based in Seattle since 1991. Equally comfortable shooting film, HD, and now 3D, I’ve recently wrapped up shooting on National Geographic Channel’s first broadcast 3D project, in Brazil, for the series Blowdown. I love the work I do, and consider myself fortunate to be making a living in this field. I am known for my energy and my attention to detail. My broadcast credits include work for all the major US television networks, History Channel, Discovery Channel, National Geographic International, Rick Steves’ Europe, Art Wolfe’s Travels to the Edge, Travel Channel, PBS, A & E, VH1, MTV, UK Channel 4, Nippon TV, NHK, and ZDF Germany, among others.
I hold passports from both the EU and the US, and am functionally fluent in Spanish, the result of having lived and worked in Spain between 2003 and 2005.
When between projects, my interests include spending time with my wife and two teenagers, traveling, back country skiing, fly fishing, and trying to make improvements on our 100 year-old house faster than it can deteriorate.
